Pricing Your Items

As of 2011:  Minimum price on any item is $2.00.

Here are some tips and guidelines we hope you find useful:

Tip #1
- Price your items as if you were the buyer and not the seller. Ask yourself, "How much would I pay for this?"  Price To Sell!
Tip #2 - Group similar items together.
Tip #3 - Price low those items you prefer not to take home with you.

Remember, it's better to get 50% and clean out your closets than to get items back that you don't need.  If you plan to donate your items, at least let them go for half-price.
If you want to discount your items 50% for the last day of the sale, just check the appropriate box when creating your tags through this link:

This guide will give you tips and ideas for pricing items so that you are putting $$$in your pocket and not taking your items back home. You are certainly welcome to price your items as you see best but here are a few things to keep in mind when considering your pricing:

1. Clothing is best priced at 30% to 50% of the retail price. You must keep in mind the brand/label of your clothing and price accordingly. Group your clothing into two categories — Standard Labels and Premium Labels to help with pricing.

2. Some examples of Standard and Premium labels are:
Standard - Faded Glory, Carters, Circo, Healthtex, Sonoma, Simply Basic, Kid Connection, Lee, Levi, Old Navy.
Premium - Gymboree, Baby Gap, Koala Kids, Limited Too, Baby Lulu, Talbot's Kids, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Osh Kosh, Nike.

3. When selecting your price for the item, think of the very least you would consider taking for it and that should be your price. If you can’t take half that amount, then do not select the half price option for that item. Do not let the half price issue affect your regular selling price because it simply makes the regular selling price too high.  Also, if you are going to donate the item, then consider going half off.  At least you have the opportunity to make some money.

4. Consider this a great opportunity to clean out closets and kid’s rooms. Do not let your time and energy go to waste by not selling everything you put in the sale. Price it to sell!

5. If someone comes to the sale and gets lots of bargains, they are most certainly going to tell their friends! The success of Treasured Twice AV Kids Consignment Sale depends on a good turnout of shoppers. If we give them the bargains that they want, then it will grow each year.

6. Presentation Matters!!! Run the iron quickly over each piece, take the little extra time to button all buttons, zip zippers, etc.

7. USE WIRE HANGERS ONLY!

If you are changing a price on an item you must print a new tag.  If an item is being relisted from a previous sale please make sure it is priced at least $2.00.  Anything priced less than $2.00 will be removed from the sales floor.
